Erik will be a weekly column posted every Friday, his level 3 Judge experience and qualifications makes him more than qualified to answer judge-ly questions and he's a fantastic asset to our team! Welcome aboard Erik!

What did you think of his article? Did it answer any questions? Any suggestions for topics down the road?

Suggesitions: When a new set is released maybe do an article that breaks down the FAQ and new mechanics.  I know wizards already does an FAQ, but it could be made simpler for the newer folk.

Also, maybe a series of filler articles about the horrible complex rule bending cards and what they do.

First up, humility as a way to introduce layers and melt minds.

Humility is evil. I wouldn't wish that explanation on Erik, but we'll see what he does.

Humility?

A pox on you! A pox I say!

Actually with the continuous effects layer cleanup of 05, Humility is not the beast it once was. Dependencies; now there is fun with joy attached.

I'll look into layers. They're actually some of the most common questions that come up; especially power/toughness interactions.

I would really like to see a good defined article on layers with examples. I did see one on star cityg ames once, but I was a little lost.

A layers article might even be needed with that new Avatar in Shadowmoor that makes all other creatures into 1/1's.  There's gonna be lots of questions come prerelease.

Good article.  As with real life, paperwork can always be a random problem and get even the best of us at the most inconvenient times!
