Any Ideas??? ASAP

Ok, so I went through the spoiler, built some decks and still can't find crap!!!
My ole' buddy Daniel Mondragon at Goodfella Games built a pretty strong U/G deck, I built a W/B deck and they BOTH still lose to Faeries!!!
Can someone please tell me they found something good out of Eventide?
I need a decklist to win Denver please

Lee:
I really do not think there is an answer to Faeries excluding
Firespout
, destroy enchantments, and Raking Canopy. Maybe a GBr deck with multiple removal, I really don't have ag ood answer for you. Sorry.

Just so you know, Raking Canopy is not an answer to Faeries.
The answer to Faeries is to force them off their plan, you don't win by allowing them to play the game they are designed to play. Faeries is a control deck with a moderate to effective aggressive position: forcing them to play their plan B (attacking) enables you to defend them more effectively. Wispmare does a good job of this, as does an effective clock (Chameleon Colossus, Doran), and reasonable disruption effects can also do a good job (Fulminator Mage, Thoughtseize, ... Hymn to Tourach ... ) but raking canopy isn't one of those effects as it simply allows them to play out their optimal gameplan while you as their opponent are wasting time and resources fighting a battle you cannot effectively win.
Faeries loses to intense pressure couples with effective removal. I would argue that there is one deck that perhaps is positioned best of them all against Faeries, but I'll let that sit for a little while.

OK FAIR WARNING I DID NOT PLAY TEST THIS.
Lands: 20
4
Vivid Meadow
4
Vivid Crag
4
Rugged Prairie
4
Reflecting Pool
2
Plains
2
Mountains
Creatures: 20
4
Duergar Assailant
4
Balefire Liege
4
Brion Stoutarm
4
Battlegate Mimic
4
Cinder Pyromancer
Spells: 20
4
Firespout
4
Wild Ricochet
4
Lash Out
4
Militia's Pride
4
Dolmen Gate
Sideboard: 15
4
Rise of the Hobgoblins
4
Moonhold
4
Fire at Will
3
Chandra nalaar
I swear I didn't plan on the deck being spread out so evenly but look at that? Basically it's a burn deck with a token generator. I can't imagine this being horrible. I can't playtest it because well.. I'm poor right now....
and I am missing almost all those cards. Balefire Liege is the most mana costly at 5, it should be able to win out. As for counterspells there isn't all that much to go by here. I suppose Guttural Response would be good in the sideboard, although I really like Wild Ricochet in here for spell control (it says you may change the targets then copy the spell, why not?). Fire at will was one of my first choices for the deck, I demoted it to sideboard because the creatures had to be attacking or blocking. The deck is up to you Lee, I hope you have fun in Denver!

So, Lee.
A couple little things:
1) Eventide is not a particularly great set for Constructed. There are a few effects that are just really good against a few borderline strategies (soul snuffers//hallowed burial being strong against kithkin and traditional aggro in general). Unfrotuantely these traditional effects trend worse than the established ones (austere command/festercreep) against faeries due to either their cost or their effectiveness. Austere Command kills BB, while Festercreep sneaks in at 2cc.
2) Things to kill Faeries are plentiful, however the problem is not in killing faeries but to force them off their plan. For that sort of impact, I would suggest either BGw Assassins or BUw Solar Flare.
Why those? It's simple: Thoughtseize and Wispmare. Thsoe are two incredibly potent effects when squaring off against Faerie decks, but unfortunately BW as an archetype really does not pack the right kind of punch needed to break through and put Faeries on the back foot. It is questionable whether or not Solar Flare can, but the combination of Reveillark and Mistmeadow Witch is not to be scoffed at especially when that witch is doing its darndest to bring back 2 Fulminator Mages each turn.
If I were not playing a Faeries deck, I would definitely be playing BGw Assassins. It has a lot of capacity for early game offense (Turn one Thoughtseize, turn two Vanquisher, turn three Doran, turn four Colossus is game against most random decks), but it also has the capacity to switch modes and play a more mid-range game thanks to Scarblade Elite generating tons of incremental advantages.
If you have access to the articles inbox, read over my second piece. And I'll have part three which deals with Eventide in there very shortly, definitely before Denver.

Definitely a neat deck: the problem? It doesn't actually win.
Yes, the trials on July 23-24 three of them ended up making top4. However on July 27, 7 of them sleeves up and not a single one managed to crack. Thing is, it's so much harder to play than Toast... so unless you have a good fifty or hundred hours for testing int he next two weeks, I'd suggest playing something a bit more streamlined.

Hmm...well do you need to have anything from Eventide necessarily?
I am still going to run with Doran for block constructed:
Land - 24
4x Murmuring Bosk
4x Gilt-Leaf Palace
4x Vivid Grove
3x Vivid Marsh
2x Wooded Bastion
3x Reflecting Pool
2x Forest
2x Swamp
Creatures - 18
2x Treefolk Harbinger
4x Doran, the Siege Tower
4x Chameleon Colossus
3x Wren's Run Vanquisher
4x Kitchen Finks
1x Shriekmaw
Spells 18
3x Bitterblossom
3x Thoughtseize
3x Firespout
3x Profane Command
2x Oblivion Ring
4x Nameless Inversion
SB
1x Firespout
1x Thoughtseize
2x Shriekmaw
2x Oblivon Ring
3x Gutteral Response
3x Fulminator Mage
3x Cloudthresher
Round 1: Win 2-0 vs GB elves
Round 2: Win 2-0 vs Faeries
Round 3: Win 2-1 vs GBw Assassin
Round 4: Loss 2-0 vs RG Shamans
Round 5: Loss 2-0 vs Merfolk
Round 6: Win 2-1 vs Faeries
Round 7: Win 2-1 vs Faeries SB
The merfolk match was totally winnable, but after losing the previous round - I just let the match go through play error and not side boarding properly. My mind had apparently thrown in the towl after losing round 4.
This deck definitely beats Faeries so there is your requirement. It supposedly has problems vs Kithkin, yet in playtesting Firespout gets the job done. After facing the Assassin engine I decided I didn't like it. After game 1 I realized that it was just to control their engine with removal for the scarblades and with Thoughtseize. Theoretically one could say the same who was running that deck against mine, yet I would simply rather run what I feel are better cards over Scarblade Elite.
Another deck that was interesting from that PTQ was Patrick Chapin's. He placed 4th.
creature [18]
3 Doran, the Siege Tower
1 Mistmeadow Witch
4 Mulldrifter
3 Reveillark
3 Shriekmaw
4 Sower of Temptation
instant [14]
4 Cryptic Command
3 Makeshift Mannequin
4 Nameless Inversion
3 Negate
sorcery [2]
2 Austere Command
land [26]
4 Murmuring Bosk
4 Mystic Gate
1 Plains
4 Reflecting Pool
4 Secluded Glen
2 Sunken Ruins
1 Swamp
4 Vivid Creek
2 Vivid Marsh
Sideboard:
2 Puppeteer Clique
1 Shriekmaw
4 Wispmare
2 Crib Swap
1 Negate
2 Austere Command
3 Jace Beleren

Daniel is a cool guy.
Do you have deck list for what you guys built, maybe we can add/subtract to what you have and see where that goes.
On a side note to that, since when have you decided to deviate from the odvious. I mean if Fairies is still the best deck even after Eventide, why would you want to play something else. You have always been a top deck player. I can't see you going rouge.

All:
I disagree, Raking Canopy has helped me greatly when playing GB Elves. I prefer Firespout,, but both have worked for me.

I do think that Raking Canopy is a card that can hold faeries at bay. It's not good alone, but let's say you've run consecutive cards that hurt faeries, well eventually they cannot defend. So the Canopy can sit there and force death by BB
I like Faeries alot, I'm just not sure I can beat 300 of the the top players in the world with the same deck. And then, 400 more guys with decks built to beat Faeries

So do you feel more confident beating faires with a rouge deck you haven't built yet, or a deck you been playing with for some time and know pretty well? I think the latter would be your best bet, but I am interested to hear how you come out if you don't.

I seriously think W/B is your best answer to Fairies.
I have playtested on Workstation Online and it seems to be pretty good.
Or you can just make it using one of the colors, probably white, and run a Kithkin/Disable deck?
I am thinking, if they get BB out on turn 3, you can ring/unmake it, disable fairies with prison term etc, then beat them down with it.
If you play elementals, and can get out a turn 3 Incandescant, and a turn 4 Hateflayer due to its ability, you can put them on guard really easily, with a firespout or 2 to clear the board if needed.
Aggro red might be able to put him in a quick deficit.
Doran might work, if you can get out that Wren Run before they can get any counters out quick.
Your best bet is probably some form of aggro or early removal
Heck, you could take a swing with Kithkin
