I hate to say it, but Kobe pretty much gave merit to the theory that 'beating' faeries isn't really worth the hours of testing time it takes to even buy yourself a 'fine' matchup.

That Takahashi can win two Grand Prix this season with what amounts to the same deck indicates that there is a simple lack of reasonable solution to that deck.  And in Japan!  We aren't talking about a PTQ in Colorado here, we are talking about the MAgic Innovation centre of the world: if they can't consistently get there against faeries then what chance do the teeming masses have against it in Denver?

Seriously, you are waiting on the magic button, but all this time it feels to me like you are just wasting time looking for something that doesn't exist: just test Faeries and test them lots, and know the matchup, and do well in Colorado.

Yes, there will be players there who will have you on playskill (you are good, but you are not Olli or Guillaume, or Kenji, etc), but you at least won't be sacrificing additional percentage points because you are playing the wrong deck.

OH!
then forget everything and just play Mono Red Aggro.  One of my teammates top8ed a GPT with it this weekend at CA nats.  It's good, had about the best faeries matchup you can expect, and it's pretty damn brutal when firing on all cylinders.

Here are lists from Kobe.
This is pretty much the best lists that we have to go on.

The one without Mutavaults is easily the cheapest. I suck at deck prices.

@Lee,
I copied it straight from Wizards website so...they must be off somewhere. Deckcheck.net has the same list also. Granted there is only 8 cards in the sideboard so...there is a mixup somewhere.

yeah that has to be it

also, you're probably right, the mutavaultless deck is cheapest

I updated the lists with known sideboards. Tsuyoshi Ikeda's list only shows 74 cards total so...his last sideboard card is a mystery. sad

i cant believe i had a mutavault at the launch party and i traded it for something.  i forget what i traded it for but ppl said it was worth $20.  Now its worth like $40... my friend who doesnt play anymore got one as well, maybe i can get one from him

does anyone have a decklist of a top tier kithkin deck after eventide changes?  also, would a kithkin deck or Hiroshi Yoshida mono red deck cost less? lol, im trying to make a good deck for block constructed but i dont have a ton of money.
