Next question: What do you do if someone plays Bitterblossom against you? The only answer I see is Oblivion Ring. Maybe consider Primal Commands or something else?

thats not quite an anser to tricks question  iv seen several other players [ that play the exsact same 75 cards as you] try to do the stratagy you mentioned theve been anialated by the flying aniallaters .it is true on the other hand  if you can get them down to 9 life u have a chance of winning but if u get a bitterblossom dropped aginst you and u can"t get them to 9 life you are done for

I went 5-2 at the Detroit PTQ tonight with Doran and placed 15th.

Land - 24
4x Murmuring Bosk
4x Gilt-LEaf Palace
4x Vivid Grove
3x Vivid Marsh
2x Wooded Bastion
3x Reflecting Pool
2x Forest
2x Swamp

Creatures - 18
2x Treefolk Harbinger
4x Doran, the Siege Tower
4x Chameleon Colossus
3x Wren's Run Vanquisher
4x Kitchen Finks
1x Shriekmaw

Spells 18
3x Bitterblossom
3x Thoughtseize
3x Firespout
3x Profane Command
2x Oblivion Ring
4x Nameless Inversion

SB
1x Firespout
1x Thoughtseize
2x Shriekmaw
2x Oblivon Ring
3x Gutteral Response
3x Fulminator Mage
3x Cloudthresher

Round 1: Win 2-0 vs GB elves
Round 2: Win 2-0 vs Faeries
Round 3: Win 2-1 vs Doran Mirror
Round 4: Loss 2-0 vs RG Shamans
Round 5: Loss 2-0 vs Merfolk
Round 6: Win 2-1 vs Faeries
Round 7: Win 2-1 vs Faeries

Some notes:
1. Nothing is more satisfying than countering Cryptic Command with Gutteral Response.
2. Fulminator Mage wrecks the mirror.
3. Merfolk is much more difficult in block than in standard constructed without the mana accel.
4. I kept a hand vs Shamans that led to T2 Bitterblossom, T3 Doran, T5 Colossus (due to opposing fulminator mage) and it did nothing against a solid RG hand due to a lack of removal. Both games I never saw o-ring or shriekmaw. If this is the case, there may be problems.
5. At first I hated the idea of Treefolk Harbinger because it is terrible in standard; however, without llanowar elves or birds of paradise, harbinger helped fix my hand quite well and against some decks getting an extra Colossus just because is quite good.

Congratulations for your performance.  I'm curious if you would play with main-board firespouts again?  Those could have been main-board Cloudthreshers and you would have a huge beater in addition to a similar effect against fliers.

Well your question seems to imply that I had MD Firespout just for Faeries or flying creatures. Firespout is also for Merfolk, Kithkin, and GB elves. It is also decent vs Faeries, but it is MD simply to hose aggro. If I was playing Faeries then I brought in the instant speed, but if I am playing aggro then I brought in another Firespout. I plan on playing another PTQ on the 30th of this month. I do plan on running Md Firespout as of now. I may go to Soul Snuffers in the SB, but I enjoyed Firespout MD. I may also consider replacing Kitchen Finks with something else; however, I will need to do some more testing. Also, I will probably consider Crib Swap, Snakeform, or Unmake for Demigod of Revenge and other such big guys. I will probably go with 1 Crib Swap to be tutorable with Harbinger. I really put a lot of testing into the deck for the last PTQ so I'm not sure how much will really change, but I may have to make a few changes for any possible RDW I come into contact with.

@Lee - No, I actually had very good mana all day. I'm sure I mulliganed maybe once or twice, but overall it was a very good day in that sense.
