The quality of those cards are phenomenal! Firespout, Jaws and even Burn Trail are considered first picks.

I barely pulled off 3-1 this FNM. I got lucky on few of my match ups since I lost the first round. Basically I didn't draft many creatures and basically Runes of the Dues and Burn Trails is what I depended on to win my games :/

I really like Red and I think I would of done better if I got more creatures.

I've drafted a couple times... im not really sure on what i should do.. i'm going to an eventide draft friday.... Ive bought some of the cards... i like Black white... Should i just use the Removal in the black/White? or try to make a steady deck from the two colors... it doesn't seem that bad... and if i pull off a Divinity of pride with Edge of Divinity... im going to probably go the two colors... is there some other good things that i could use that are commons... that i haven't put together yet?

It sounds like your planning on using your own cards and if that is the case, you are not drafting but playing Constructed. Drafts are where you get 3 packs, open one up, take a card, pass the rest, get passed from your right...repeat till 2nd pack, do the same but to the right...etc...

If I misunderstood you, sorry.

In that case, if it's an EEE draft, just look for what hybrid color is flowing from your right for a few picks and jump on board! Also, the hybrid mimics are insane in EEE (broken really) so take them super early.

It's pretty much the same stratagy with SSE. Look for what's coming from your right and jump on it!  I drafted SSE and was straight UW and went 2-1 (3rd place because of TB's BangHead after losing to the winner).

Here's a combo I pulled off a couple of times last night:

Puresight Merrow+Banishing Knack with 8 W and U mana on my board. We are at a stand still with 7 critters on the board each, end of his turn I cast Knock on my Puresight and bounce every one of his critters back to his hand. Next turn I swing for 20.  laughing

Everyone got a real kick out of that one.

Hey All:

OK, I have a bad habit in Limited..and it is I love two colors and then I splash for a third...usually G/W/r or g/B/R.  No matter how much I love to run combos, and they do happen in S...I prefer the aggro route for the win.  How do I break this habit?

Also, when running white, i LOVE Armored Assention(sp?)  That card, besides giving flying, pumps HARD when running W.

Lee, I disagree with Blight.  If played right, it can run a three/one advantage, and has one me a game or three.  Otherwise, I agree completely with the enchantments=bad idea.  Creatures, for me, win limited, and a well-timed Firespout will help this happen.

What is everyone looking forward to most with Evantide?  Personally I think U/G is the best, but B/W can be interesting...what does everyone else think?

I just got stomped in two MTGO drafts I did tonight. Lost in the first round in both of them. I think in both I lost in three so perhaps that means I don't totally suck? Seems like there are quite a few decent drafters online. I liked both the decks I drafted just didn't seem to work out. I know for sure I didn't muligan when I should of. Part of my problems just happened because of my lack of experience with MTGO and made incorrect plays because I didn't understand how to use the software.

I hope to get my deck lists posted soon.
