I do love video games.  My favorite by a mile is Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2.  Followed very closely by Zelda (all of them, with the exception of Zelda 2, the black sheep of the Zelda universe).
Here is some useless knowledge for you. Zelda: The Adventures of Link is the only Zelda game where Link is not Left handed. In every other Zelda game Link is left handed. Shigeru Miyamoto created the game in his own image and thus made him left handed. Zelda: The Adventures of Link is the only Zelda game that he didn't create and thats why that small detail was left out...No pun intended.

I actually just recently learned that.

I picked it up reading the responses for the fake IGN Zelda movie. I never really noticed until they pointed it out, then I started checking in on it, and sure enough.

I am a disc golf junkie!  I love it with all of my heart.  I go out and play at least 4 rounds a week, and with summer here that will probably up to 5.  I'm obsessed, and won't ever be able to break the habit.

Other than that, I play Halo and am in a well known clan ( www.praetoriaguard.com ).  We have a great community and make machinima (spelling?).  If you play you may want to check it out, we're always recruiting.

Other than that, just hanging out with friends, playing board games and watching movies.

I am a Guild Wars Freak (Aros Knightsbane)

I am a professional Musician, studying to become a music educator.

I also enjoy reading fantasy novels.

WoW is the main reason I haven't been here for a while, started playing in a pre-TBC guild
and leveling took a bit of time, but now I'm 60 and raiding, so I have more time for other stuff.

Other than WoW & MtG, I have a 360 that takes up some time, GTA4 right now.

I play Poker both online and live games with my buddies from work (this saturday was a total
bust for me) and would be watching WPT coverage if Pro-tour Hollywood wasn't on right this
moment.

I also read/semi-collect comics & books, I say semi-collect cos I don't really have much room
for that stuff since I live in a tiny 1 room appartment.

Also I don't count these as hobbies, but due to need I also run/admin our guild forums.

I'm basicly a geek, been using computers since -94, so I don't even count that as a hobby
anymore, it's more like a passion, anything related to PCs I do, build em, install em, test
new programs and so forth. Soon hoping to get a Mac laptop to learn a bit more of that
system since I already pwn Windows and know Linux well enough to get by.

the twilight princesses for the wii also has link as a right hander. thats mainly because the wiimote is ment to be held in the right hand.

however in the gcn version he dose weild his sword in his left hand.

just another tidbit form a nintendo fanboy laughing

Well, Im still in school so I have that I guess.
Other then magic, I play some Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne.
I also play a lot of tennis.  And oddly enough I sing, random songs that I make up in my head, and I like debating and arguing in general.  Scootering to Marble Slab, hanging with friends, watching TV, detective shows, food shows, sports etc.  O and I read about anything I find, from Nuclear Physics to Harry Potter ^^

Well, hobbies.... If there ever was a bigger nerd. wave

I play MtG ALL THE TIME.

I play Heroscape whenever my siblings finally break from the nagging.(if you don't know what it is search google, it's one of hasbro's creations)

I used to have Warcraft III The Frozen Throne installed but now i can't find the CD....

Diablo II : Expansion is another fav...

Guitar Hero 2, 3, and Rocks the 80's currently ranked 4th in my school. (we do have some beasty 'guitar hero'ers').

As stated previously I have school not doing too badly there....

I play Runescape the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game by Jagex (or something like that) (If you really want to play it don't they just "fixed" it as in ruined it).

I love the X-Men, Wolverine being my favorite since like age 5...

I recently got a new Camera so i am taking a lot of pictures now.

I have some WoW cards but only for the art, some of them are amazing.

And I know there's more but I promised myself to keep this short....

Hey All:

Hobbies...hmmm, if only there was more free time.  My wonderful wife, Sarah, and daughter Lorelei Mae (turning one year on 7/11) take up a LOT of time, but I would not trade it for anything.

My favorite thing to do when not working on my decks are MOVIES!!!  Sarah and I are HUGE BAD horror fans, the more idiotic the better!  I also write, nothing good though, as well as work with youth at my church.  We actully have a small group that plays MTG there, its a great bridge for opening up conversations!

I also wanna say thank you all for starting this board!  Its a lot lik my game store in Valparaiso/Portage, IN (Galactic Greg's for playing, Lightspeed Hobbies for supplies,) everyone knows your name, you can say something as an idea, and no one beats you over hte head wiht it like a dead cat...could not be better!  Keep doing what you are doing!

I actually had to read the forum rules before replying  to this. My question is, do you guys play in secrecy (sp?)? I would think that playing magic sort of goes against church rules. Of course nowadays there are the non denomination churches that don't preach against anyone, and let anybody into thier congregation. As long as you are there for you and your god no matter who he may be. But I do know that the hard core churches may find this kinda against the religeous rules.

Lythand (and others who may be interested):

You are right, there are some, no matter where you go, who look down at MTG, WoW, and other such hobbies as "devil worship."  Drinking, dancing, piercings, tats, short skirts, females sitting with men sit in worship, and in some congregations, still are, seen as "devil worship" as well.  I am not speaking for my main-stream denomination, only for myself from here on in.

MTG, as well as other RPGs, etc is a recreational hobby, and in no way do I think that I have the "magical power" to conjure a elf creature by channeling the energies emanating from the forest near my home.  To me, I am using it as a way to talk to my youth, as well as relax, while not breaking any of the commandments that , as a Christian, hold.

No matter where I go, someone will look down at what I have done, and what I do.   I am sure that when you all were in high school, or while you are in high school now, people look down at you as being "geeky" "nerdy" for playing iwht pieces of paper with different stylings of ink on them.   Lee, or Trick, wrote an article on this, I believe, and as the same with presenting ourselves as MTG players to the community, I strive for even more so within my congregation.

I also respect the feelings of these members of my congregation to not engage in these activities while they are present, so that they are not feeling threatened or attacked.  In much the same way I do not do not scarf down a hot dog in front of my Vegan friends, so I refrain about talking about my Lord of the Undead deck...similar idea in my mind.

Finally, and here I am on my soapbox (sorry for this), but I try to present a love and accepting Christian model to all those I meet, be it here on the Boards, working with the youth at my church, or with anyone I meet.  I hope that I present this to you all, and if I am ever rude, or harsh, please forgive me now.

Lee/Trick, thank you for creating a Board/forum where we can express who we are beyond MTG players, and I hope that this answered anyone's questions concerning my view on MTG/my religious beliefs.  I do want to say again that I am speaking only for myself, and in no way are my opinions reflecting on my denomination or my church.

I look forward to building and sharing decks with you all, and have a great evening!
