Let's hear some maxs.

I've been lifting for 4 years.  I'm 21, 5'10" and 220lbs.  Lifting is a passion of mine.  I NEED it.
1 RMs
Deadlift (old): 495
Squat: 515
My weak Bench: 355
Shoulder press: 225
Now this is my language. I blew my rotator cuff about 2 months ago and I am debating surgery. Prior to that though:

26, 5'7, 190lbs
Bench: 385
Squat: 450
Snatch: 180
Clean / Jerk: 280

I am trying to keep my lifting going because of my little brother that is in highschool. He is going to be a monster.

17 (Junior), 5'5, 130
Bench: 210
Squat: 330
Clean / Jerk: 190

That kid is going to be a monster with a little more beef.

Wow, how'd you do that?  Is it a tear?  How bad?  What did your orthopod say?  When you recover I suggest NEVER doing those crazy behind the neck pull-ups and pull-downs that I see some bodybuilders doing.  Pull-overs are can accomplish as much as those very stressful drills.  Behind the neck presses may not be advisable anymore either.  Well, you'll probably have to stay away from presses of every nature for awhile.  Make sure you get a second opinion before going through with surgery.  Ortho-docs tend to be all doom and gloom about pursuing heavy training after injuries like that (I guess from dealing with primarily the elderly).  If you have access to a more sports oriented orthopedist, it will be to your advantage.  I was told I would never be able to do contact sports, squats or deadlifts again after I broke then later rebroke my femur in football.  I knew that would never happen.  I still have a bum knee from time to time but it's nothing like what my original doctor predicted.

Those are all very respectable 1 RMs.  How'd you get your bench up there?  I usually don't incorporate olympic lifts, but I should.  Definitely a fun way to test one's progress.

Your brother is a monster.  Those are very good for 130.  Put lots of good food into that kid, let puberty do it's thing and he will really take off.

I have always been strong on bench. In highschool my cleans are what kept me down. I placed 8th at States my senior year. I am hoping to get my brother to state this year...and then win it next year. He still has quite a climb though. Those damn kids are getting strong. My school record didn't even last a year. angry

I am actually leaving work in 30 minutes to go to the ortho to get my results from the latest MRI. This is my second consultation. The first doctor said that i tore it. I am pretty sure he is right.
