If it didn't cost R for each activation I would agree. The main problem with him is that it doesn't immediately do anything. Thats its biggest strike against it. I think thats the reason why there aren't any in any of the lists on deckcheck.

The problem here is, you gonna run out of gas on the 3rd or fourth turn. You need at least 4 howling mines to fill your hand back up.

4x
Mogg Maniac
4x
Mogg Fanatic
4x
Ball Lightning
4x
Mogg FLunkies
4x
Goblin Lackey
4x
Fireblast
2x
Earthquake
1x
Gamble

CIPT is a no no for a good burn deck. It works in extended but not Legacy. Good thought though.
@Lythand,
Surprisingly gas is not a problem here. With everything aside from
Magma Jet
...you are dealing at least 3 damage.
Magma Jet
deals 2 and digs for business spells. I could see an argument for a pair of
Wheel of Fortune
s in the deck but...gas is hardly an issue.

IDK. I still think you would run into the issue of burning out of cards. Empty hand, and no way to stop a mid to late game horde.

I play mudbutton torchrunners with mogg fanatic. It usually works. People are afraid to block mudbutton sometimes, and damage gets through. Then in the end I sac fanatic to burn mudbutton for an additional 2 points of direct damage. It's a pretty cool team.

I clicked this thread from the main page where it said "most recent post." Didn't realize it was legacy til after I said that.
It still is a pretty fun way to burn someone.
