The safest way to prevent your opponent from stacking his or your deck is to have a judge come and shuffle.

To be honest, unless a judge is already watching from a far, which you can ask, you probably won't catch the act (as your opponent will probably deny it).

Lets jsut say you are blatantly stacking your deck. As long as when you present it to your opponant, its randomized, there really isn't anything your opponant can do. If I remove lands and spells and stack the 2:1, then shuffle a bunch of times, as long as it looks "sufficiantly randomized" it should be good. I am aassuming at least.

Right. If you 2:1 then riffle shuffle a half dozen times it should count as sufficiently randomized. Just don't skimp on the randomization.

i 2:1 shuffle and normally have 4-6 lands left, them i place them in random spots, riffle shuffle about 5 times them pile shuffle into 4 piles, then riffle shuffle 2-3 more times.  is that enough to get the randomization everyone is talking about. this guy at my tournament near me always makes a big deal about me beating him after the first time i beat him i have not since.  i always seem to mulligan down to 5 now i know what he is doing i am going to watch him carefully and soon he will understand cheating is not cool

When I used to play magic on the school yard, we had a little shuffling ritual. I was always the guy who lent people decks (precons), and I had this metal carrying case that I would take them in. Whenever I bought a new precon, we would empty out the box and lay out all the cards. Then I would throw the box into the air.

I still do this every round at every tournament.

I start of by cuting the deck in half and placing the two piles next to each other, stear on 'em for about 2 sec before i place my tumbs on the corners of each pile closest to me and each others, while my ring and middle finger is on the side furthest away. then then I lift up the half nearest to me with the tumbs and use the index finger to press the top middle part down. then I let the cards go with my tumbs, resulting that the cornes closest to me and each other are almost every other form each pile, before I let go of the cards and press them together using my hands. (i would guess that this has somewhat the same effect as riffle shuffeling:P) after repeating this 2-3 times I tend to riffle shuffle a few times before I allow my opponent to cut the deck.

I riffle 3 times, pile shuffle into 5 piles (without following a pattern, but putting one card on each pile each round of placement), then riffle 3 more times, then pile shuffle into 4 piles (random; same as above), then riffle once more and present.
