This is something I'd like to go too, but seeing some of the decks you guys post up here, I know I'm giong to get my butt handed to me. Probably with a couple of lashes across it no less.
Edited:
I also just noticed that this is the weekend before the pre-release. It will be next to impossible for me to justify two weekends in a row with my wife. Hopefully other members won't have the same problem. :-)

Do what I do. Tell your wife that you want to take her out to dinner on Friday night. That usually butters my wife up enough that she won't give me a guilt trip about going.
By the way...its not always the deck that wins the match. Usually its the player piloting the deck. Don't give up before the tournament even starts.

As for getting it to work with the wife. My girlfriend will be there for at least part of the day, as will the ManaNation booth babe Tara!

@utsugi6string ,
If your wife is anything like my wife...I wouldn't mention this. This would be one of my wife's reasons for not wanting me to go.

Booth Babe? ManaNation has a booth babe? Hmmmmm....
Would Booth Babe Tara be interested in having her picture posted up here somewhere on the forum? *chuckle*

I think talking my wife into letting me go is harder than the actual matches.
I learned to compromise.

Is this a cash payout...or will the support be in the form of packs?

As of now it is a cash payout. I had originally considered using the prize money to preorder Shadowmoor for winners, but I figured the cash payout would be more popular. This is not definite yet though.
