So what do y'all think about the changes in the Prerelease?

I'm kind of up in the air on this one. Yes, it may be great to have prerelease tournaments closer to home. But if that means the prerelease tournaments won't be as big as the one I just went to I am not sure if it is really worth it. I have issues with my local card shop and I am not even sure if they could pull off such an event if there was big turn out. If there isn't big turn out I think that takes away from the prerelease. I mean, I want to get two flights of sealed in and that what makes the prerelease so fun for me. Playing magic for pretty much the whole day.

I think the idea is great, however, I don't see it working out so well. I hope these changes does not really effect the bigger prerelease tournaments.

I personally like having the smaller prerelease events, esp. on the local level.  My local card shop really does try to run a large event, but with the lack of certified judges, or facilities, it is simply too much, and suffers thus.  As well, a prerelease is good time to get to understand the cards, and having less people means more questions can be asked in the same amount of time.

Just my two pennies.  What does everyone else think?
