Well my first pre-release was pretty bad. I made the mistake of drafting the night before so I was up till 0100. I figured if I went to bed I wouldn't make it up to seattle in time for the first round. So I just stayed up and drove up to Seattle at 0300. So after a few hours of hanging out at denny's my buddies and I went out on a mission trying to find the gosh dang place. Found decent parking, about 6 blocks away. We got there an hour early and we were about 20ish in line. You wouldn't believe how many people showed up within just and half hour before 0900. It went from like 20ish people to like 200ish in a matter of 30 mins. Was the craziest thing I ever saw. It was slightly stupid when they registered people. They didn't fill one flight at a time. I went 1-3 in both flights I went into. I think my major downfall was that I didn't muligan many hands that should of been muliganed. I'm thinking in my next prerelease ill just do one flight of sealed and maybe some drafts and 2HG. The good news is that I got my money back on my first flight with the cards I opened.

To be honest though I didn't have much fun because I was just getting stomped. However, it was a good learning experience. I am kind of looking forward to the more grass roots approach wizards is taking for prereleases for Shards. I see pros and cons for this new approach, but overall I am excited for it.

So now I am trying to read up on Sealed deck construction now ;)
I want to blame bad card pool for my poor performance but Id just be lying to myself. I believe I built pretty solid decks with what I had I just wasn't in the game playing with my head.
