So coming up is the next ManaNation tournament. The Standard event really isn't anything special...even though it is the sanctioned part of the tournament. However the MYOS (Make Your Own Standard) event is very appealing. I am really stoked about this and wanted to open up a thread for thoughts and ideas on this format.

What is everyone looking at? I have a few tricks up my sleeve...but no decklists as of yet. I am undecided if I want to go for shock value...or go with a tried and true approach. Anyway, feel free to post your thoughts.

Just incase you are unsure of how MYOS works...here is a video of the rules. If you are to lazy or are still confused here is a breakdown.

1. All cards must be legal in the Legacy Format.
2. If a card was banned in the block that it was printed...it is not legal in MYOS.
3. You can pick any two blocks that you wish. These blocks do not have to be consecutive.
4. You can pick any one Core Set from 5th Edition to Present. This does not have to be legal during the blocks that you choose.

Examples:
Kamigawa, Tempest, Xth
Ravnica, Ice Age, 5th
Lorwyn, Urza's, 9th

5. All other deckbuilding rules apply.

I love this idea and really wish some place by me would run it. It sounds like so much fun!

I think I would end up doing Ravnica, Shadowmoor, 10th.

I was wanting to come and play but it's the day of my youngest son's birthday.  Had I have come I would have played a strictly fun deck that had probably a negative percentage of winning.  :-P
