It's up a day early! Well, a few hours at least. Now tell us what you think of our top 10 picks. Do you agree? Disagree? Did we snub one of your favorite cards? Got a question for us? Bring it on!

As always...great show.
I would have to agree that
Mutavault
is not the most powerful card in Morningtide. However...I think that it is stronger than
Supreme Exemplar
. Honestly...do you believe that its better than
Mutavault
? I personally don't like
Violet Pall
either. But other than those 2 cards...I agree with you guys.
Also a little note on
Earwig Squad
. You guys danced around the fact that he is a 5/3 for 3. That alone is amazing. Giving him a
Jester's Cap
ability is just gravy.
Onto the contest. What exactly do you want on the video? Just me saying, "This is ManaNation and I'm Jimmy." Or are you wanting some substance in the video?

At its core the video just needs to be a shot of you saying "I'm Jimmy and you're watching ManaNation." If you make it more than that, all the better. I'm going to be posting our ideal video settings later today (I just posted the tournament info on the new events forum.)
As for
Mutavault
, you're right that
Mutavault
is a more flexible card. I agree about that, but for sheer bomb value the
Supreme Exemplar
is a house that is a bit more difficult to deal with.
Violet Pall
is another one Lee and I went back and forth on whether it should make the list, as you saw he still disagreed a fair bit during filming but I'll make the same case to you all that I made to him: it's splashable with only B required, it's removal (very few removal cards are in Morningtide) and it has no restrictions (such as non-elf creatures or non-black etc.)
Maybe 8 was a high place for it, but I will stand by my belief that players will be taking it high in their draft picks and that it could often be the best card in the pack.

Gotcha. This should be fun. Does naked women dancing in the background give extra points?

Too fast for me! I went back to modify my post when I realized I hadn't addressed your questions concerning the card picks. ;)

heh...As soon as I get the email that there is a new post I just click update and respond. Gotta love sitting in front of a computer all day for work. You know what I am talking about. =P
Violet Pall
- I can see where it can be good. But I don't think that it is in the top 10 of Morningtide. I do like that it has no color/class restriction but still...5 mana is a lot. I personally consider this to be a good card...not a bomb though. Here is the scale that I use:
1. Must take. (
Titan's Revenge
)
2. Bomb (
Shriekmaw
,
Mulldrifter
)
3. Good Card (Most removal)
4. Playable
5. Decent (May or may not make the deck.)
6. Junk (I will put this card away and won't even consider it when I sideboard.)
Obviously this is different from B.R.E.A.D. and thats because they are totally seperate things. This is how I rate individual cards.
Supreme Exemplar
- He just costs to much and is to situational. If a card costs this much mana...it is supposed to win you the game...so using that as a reason for why its good seems kind of lacking. Pound for Pound I think that
Mutavault
runs it over. It allows you to run an additional creature...and comes down early. If you drop it on turn 1...you have an attacking 2/2 on turn 2. This is huge. Like I said...pound for pound I don't think that
Supreme Exemplar
stands up to
Mutavault
. I know that the card is overhyped and overcosted...but you still can't deny its power in an aggressive deck. Lorwyn limited is an aggressive environment because of the plethora of creatures.

I see what you're saying, but Mutavault is a solid good card, not a bomb. Supreme Exemplar is a bomb. Bombs have their drawbacks, costs and problems and Supreme Exemplar has them, but it is also a "must deal with" for your opponent as compared to Mutavault which is just another foot soldier.
I stand by my belief

I just looked over the list of Rares in Morningtide...Pretty much everything on the list is the best in the set.
Bitterblossom
is a card that I would have put in place of
Violet Pall
but for the number 10 spot...well I guess it could be either one. Both have their ups and downs I guess.

Bitterblossom
did get discussed as well, it hovers in the vacuous cloud of 11-15 right there with
Mutavault
and
Preeminent Captain

heh...My wife would be thrilled to know that her stripping for the camera would earn me a 6 pack of mana potions. I am sure she will be extatic when I tell her what I signed her up for. =P

I was so pissed to have passed up a Titan's revenge one draft because it didn't make sense in what I was drafting. I could've raredrafted but the picks were already getting mish-moshed for me so I had to let that one go for a more practical pick. Real tough letting that guy go :(
Watching the episode now. Will comment later

heh...I could be drafting mono green elves...and if I either open or am passed
Titan's Revenge
...I will almost always take it because it wins games. Nothing is worse than having a god hand and running over an opponent only to have him win via a recuring
Fireball
. I can't even think of what would have to be in the pack for me to take something over
Titan's Revenge
. In limited...this card is broken.

Hey guys! Thanks for another enjoyable show.
I gotta say, I dissagree with a few of your picks. Packs Disdain over Violet Pall (of which I'm a big fan of). Disdain is an easy Last Gasp in LLM and many times it can -5-5 or -6-6! For 2 mana it is amazing! And what? Hardly any love for white in Morningtide?! White was EASILY the most improved color in Morningtide. Weight of Conscience, Coordinated Barrage Burrenton Bombardier. OK, maybe I'm a little to Limited focused...
But seriously, Packs Disdain is an easy first pick if you are Black/X. Red, while improved, is still a color (and or tribe relation) I steer clear of unless I'm giving the nuts. Thundercloud Shaman, 2xlashout, 2xtarfire, 2xSmokebraider, Wort+gobbo goodies. But a bad Faerie or Merfolk or Elf and now Kithkin deck can just win. Red seems just a bit unfocused...I'm not saying that it can't do well, but it's just hard to focus into a theme much of the time. This is from a guy that drafts...ALOT!!!
And I'm not sure about Countryside Crusher...He is just plain bad in Limited! And I mean EXCLAMATION POINT!!! Now Constructed...really haven't seen a deck thats running him do very well I have to say. I mean, especially as much hype as there was about this guy.
