What did you think? Great? Horrible? Did you agree with our picks? Think we overlooked any cards? Did we overrate any cards? What did you think, we want to know.

Great show. I have found that
Safehold Elite
and
Kitchen Finks
are some of my favorite cards to pick up. While
Safehold Elite
didn't and shouldn't make a top 10...it is a card that can be amazing in certain decks. Persist seems to be an ability that can just win games.
I agree 100% that the complete lack of removal in limited leads to drawn out...boring games. I have experienced this in so many drafts/sealed pools. Its just a stall game until you find your fat win condition. I will be very happy when traditional magic comes back. I have said it before and I am saying it again...if Shards of Alara had better offer more to the game than attrition wars. If not...the eternal formats are going to be my new home.

One sure fire way to get me to watch the end credits...
You guys had a solid top 10. However, (you knew that was coming right?) I think you guys missed a lot of the UW goodies out there.
Silkbind Faerie
is an absolute 1st pick. It's one of those cards that helps to end long drawn out games. Which SSS has paaaalenty of. And because of the lack of removal, the god enchantments are stupid good.
Steel of the Godhead
being the best of the bunch. All that to say that because there is so little "normal" removal, cards like
Consign to Dream
and
Turn to Mist
should be taken very highly.
Keep it up guys and have fun in Cali Trick!
You guys going to GP Indy next month? I'll be there with my round 1 bye!!!

Good top 10. Have a
, BUT
CORRUPT
should be added to your list!
It was a MAJOR win condition for me. I built a creature heavy mono black deck with 3 extra swamp & some big strong creatures, Dusk Urchin, Fate Transfer, & Disturbing Plot. It was an amazing series of games (I'm new) and my only losses were in the final round against a control/evasion blue deck who smoked me on turn 6, 2 games in a row.
All of that to say, if you see corrupt come by, GRAB IT! It will STOP a standstill for sure and it will sneak up on them. Everyone forgets about black burns! They can have 10 life and get cocky and then BOOM, you murder them and it only took 6 of your 10 swamps to deal the 10 damage! As of right now, many blue decks are not including the counters like spell syphon, but if they do, you can still pay the extra mana
!
Check it out and let me know what you think!

Is anyone else having the same slow loading issues I'm having when watching the .wmv stream? I don't think it's my connection speed... eh.

I certainly agree that Corrupt is a HOUSE, but as you mentioned the card is situational at best. You probably wouldn't take it 3rd pack 1st pick if you're blue white. It's definitely a possible first pick card, without 3 swamps I'd say that Corrupt wouldn't be worth it.
Obviously, depends on the situation though :P

The WMV is quite large this week.

Hi everyone.
I guess this is the episode I most disagree with you guys. What I meen is that the justifications you gave for the card you presented are correct, but, for those same justifications, there are really better cards.
The problem of the set is how to deal with the really big guys. I saw many people play that vanilla 7/6 R/G because its particulary hard to get all these big guys. So, its correct that wither is an answer, that all that firepower you showed is important, but, the better common pick and certainly one of the top ten non-rare picks is Aethertow. This card played on an opponent's attack can take out of your way up to 2 however big guys for up to 2 turns.
For me Blue/White are the best draft colors, namely, if together. Another really big card advantage is repel intruders. Curse of chains as you said, silkbind faerie, steel of the godhead are just other amazing cards to can come up with W/U.
Keep up the good work.

Corrupt is good of course; however, black is arguably the worst color of the set and therefore will doubtfully be your main color to have the swamps to make it as good as it could be.

I think Kulrath Knight should have been higher on the list; esp. with how many -1/-1 counters there are in the set. You're bound to draft at least one more card with 'wither' or some way to put -1/-1 counters on opp. creatures. But I'm glad he was on the list!

I haven't posted in a while as I had to write a thesis but I have been watching every episode you make. This is another great episode, you guys look really comfortable when you're presenting and the credits did make me laugh. On a side note, I wanted to send you some money ($32, $1 for each episode!), but the link from Episode 24 has been shut down, how can I send you money now?
I ordered a T-shirt too and joined your facebook group. I live in the UK which may mean that you need more money for shipping, aah I'll send you an email.
I need a couple of cards too, so I'll be sure to order them off CoolStuffInc.com too!
Did you make posters that can be printed out in the end?

Wow! Thank you very much mate! :P
We'd love to hear your feedback on what we do well or what we could do to be better. I'd like to also know what it's like to be a gamer in the UK.
Once again, glad to hear from you.

I think that the 5 uncommon spells that count how many land you have in play are all BOMBS. If you have two of those plus 2 Elsewhere Flasks, you are probably in for a X-0 record. The green one, you'll probably get 10 wolves, black/red you'll deal at least 10 damage, the blue one you get to draw 25% of your deck, on average, and the white one (the worst of the all, because it's only good in white) you get +X/+X and flying for each plains.
I try to pick up each and every one that comes by me in limited, they're just too good, and I don't want anyone else to have them. Obviously I take certain cards over them, but I don't usually pass a Jaws of Stone, Corrupt, or Howl of the Night Pack. You usually have a GG after you play one of those cards.

I certainly agree!
Flasks go REALLY early these days. :(
Trick and I had discussion on many of the cards in the set. We tried to choose cards that work individually as many combos can be created for a successful in victory.

Biting Tether is the third best non-rare pick, you got the first 2 right.
I'm not really sure it's even debatable, but feel free to argue against a splashable control magic.
