As I mentioned in another thread, our render time again overshot our estimates and have thus put this episode behind schedule. It should hopefully go up this evening or tomorrow morning.

It's a learning process. Working in HD is an exponential increase to what we normally produce. We've found out that the compression we used on the actual gameplay is causing the major slowdown. We're putting the fix in place to hopefully ensure episode 41 won't be delayed.

The latest update is that I will hopefully be picking up the episode tomorrow morning and have it up by noon. *crosses fingers*

Sorry guys, still rendering.

It's been rendering since Saturday night, so we're over 72 hours of computer power on it. Darren is 99% sure it'll be finished this afternoon and as soon as I can I'll have the episode up and live.

This is so frustrating for me, I absolutely hate missing the Monday launch window. We're going to do as much as possible to avoid missing next week's.

Trick,

I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. New and better things take time to figure out and all this does is make Mananation better in the long run. For us to expect that new things happen without any hiccups would be unreasonable smiley

Agree completely. Nothing new does not have issues, and when these issues run their course, things will be better down the road.

I have the episode. It's uploading. It'll go live in the morning.

This is our biggest episode to date. WMVs usually run 100-250 megs depending on size. This behemoth weighs in at nearly 350 megs. The mp4 is 185 megs.

So the upload is going to take a few hours, I'll get the episode posted as soon as I wake up!
