I usually win the first round and then it's a 50/50 that I'll go on to win round 2.

i think you would make it to the finals and then either beat your opponent into oblivion, or well... get unlucky

but i bet you could make it to the finals, and if you do, just remember! mikey 159 told ya so

hehe.

Lee, sent you a pm but not sure it's working.  I guess I'll know tomorrow.  Anyway, on the table dude.  I'm actually in 2nd round of a SHM draft now, completely obliterated 1st round opponent.  Down for testing.

Good job on the draft Lee.  For everyone that doesnt know, one thing Lee never brought up was you are able to use Valleymaker to add the green mana to your opponents mana pool. Usually works like direct damage to your opponent because of mana burn.

Great show.  Being a new player I learned a lot of nuances.  Since I haven't played MTGO yet I'm still a little shakier with understanding the phases than most.

I do have one basic question:

During the main phase, if my opponent does not cast any spells, when is the earliest I can cast an instant?  I'm thinking either at end of the main phase he'll pass priority and give me the opportunity OR just in the pre-combat phase.

Thanks again and congrats in Denver.

During the main phase, the player's whose turn it is receives priority first and they decide if they want to do anything. If not then the priority passes to you and you could play your instant spell, or any action at instant speed.

The phase's don't progress until both players pass priority in succession.
