What program do you guys use to animate/create character/likenesses? I'm into animating, and I wanna find something quick and easy, but could provide good animation... at least of South Park calibur. Right now I'm using Anime Studio 5. A bit buggy, but I like it.

I hired a local graphics and video guy to do our intro. I honestly don't know what he did it in, and he hasn't responded the last few times I've tried to get in touch with him :(
The only program I ever heard him talk about was Adobe Premier, so I don't know if he did it frame by frame or imported from another application.

I did some small animation to lay over a video with Adobe Premier last summer when I was working for the Georgia Educators Ipod initative, you don't have to animate frame by frame. Like Flash you can skip ahead and place an object where you want it and it will animate the frames inbetween. I made some atoms spin around on screen using this method and alot of time.
That being said, I find Flash is a good animation software, at least for stuff of south park calibure. As long as your not aiming for Anime quality, I'd look at Flash.

I am aiming for that, though. :\ I'd settle, like I said, for cut out style, like South Park.

Well I mean you could get anime quality out of flash becuase it has a nice pen feature, but then you'll need to be good a drawing and get a tablet for your computer. It's duable, but it's no golden ticket.
