I bought a Eventide Booster box, and played pack wars to find most of the cards (the results are in another post). I wanted to put together a Mold breaker standard legal White/Black control deck. Now to anyone normal it sounds like a whole bunch of hubbub.

Now this was made using only cards I have:

Creatures(11):
1 Restless Apparition
1 Stillmoon Cavalier
1 Evershrike
2 Voracious Hatchling
2 Patrol Signaler
4 Nip Gwyllion

Spells(28):
4 Raven's Crime
2 Batwing Brume
3 Unmake
4 Edge of the Divinity
2 Cauldron Haze
1 Runed Halo
4 Cenn's Enlistment
4 Spectral Procession
4 Recumbent Bliss

Lands (21):
1 Caves of Koilos
6 Swamp
14 Plains

Ok it definately looks like it could be ran over by anything, even those little faeries with their Bitterblossom. I'm going to playtest it over some more and was hoping that someone could give me some suggestions.

I know we can break these faeries, and teh RDW, hopefully there will be a decklist somewhere later on.

Funny thign is I started working on a more aggressive type of W/B deck. It uses endless horizons to keep cenn's enlistment, raven's crime, and life syphon going. Then it uses a horde of creature to pound at your opponent and crush them to a pulp.

Heres my list

Lands - 24
16    Plains
8    Swamps

Creatures - 21
2    Deathbringer Liege
2    Divinity of Pride
3    Gwyllion Hedge-Mage
4    Nightsky Mimic
4    Nip Gwyllion
3    Stillmoon Cavalier
3    Voracious Hatchling

Non-Creatures - 15
3    Endless Horizons
4    Raven's Crime
4    Cenn's Enlistment
4    Syphon Life

That seems impressive. I'm so glad I'm not the only one trying out these W/B decks.  smiley
I definately think W/B is more capable being controlling though. Regardless if I have them or not.

Yeah Endless Horizons with a graveyarded life syphon is a 4 life difference each turn. With enlistment it's 2 bodies each turn and with crime its a discard each turn. And this deck doesn't really rely on anything so it can basically use anything handed to it.

The title is a bit misleading haha. If you want to beat Faeries, Kithkin, and RDW then play Rock. You have a great matchup vs Faeries, you can wipe kithkin's board and play Finks and Primal Command to kill RDW.

Kithkin is more of a block deck anyway.

I think we need to think more about the future and kill off TSP Block and Coldsnap and just build within block for right now so we can be prepared a month from now to advance the deck Ideas with shards.

Not all decks go away with the loss of TS and Coldsnap. In fact, the majority in standard do not.

I didn't say they did where did you get that from. A lot of them do lose power though.

Revillark and Swans are both dead. I can't think of any combo decks that survive...other than the Quillspike combo.

This happens every rotation. Standard becomes an ever-so-slightly modified block environment. It stays that way until set 2 is released...thats when the new decks start to be the mainstream.

And the Quillspike Combo isn't even a deckworthy combo seeing as how flimsy it is.

Yes, Reveillark and Swans are dead. This is not the majority. Combo is kind of hard to work with in the current metagame anyway. Many of the decks may lose power, yet they will still be quite playable.

RDW also loses it's Blood Knights and Marauders so that'll hurt as well.

I see Faeries dominating still until conflux is released.

The Block version will be an easy shift...picking up Incinerate along the way.
