I'm not looking to take this to a Pro-Tour but would like to get your input about a deck with Stoic Angel . . .

It promises to provide some level of control while a beefed-up exalted critter takes a solid swing . . . thoughts ? ?

Shards of Alara
Cost:    1 GWB
reature - Angel
3/4, Flying, vigilance
Players can't untap more than one creature during their untap steps.

Stoic Angel is my favorite card from Shards, and I was thinking of making an exalted lock down deck with, the main cards I have been considering so far are

Stoic Angel Enables major lock down
Angelic Benediction exalted plus tapping
Goldmeadown Harrier tapping
Niveous Wisps tapping plus card draw
Trip Noose tapping
Curse of Chains tapping
Askrasan Squire cheap exalted
Naya Battlemage tapping
Ballynock Trapper Tapping
Ranger of Eos Lets you get Squires or Harriers, plus a 3/2 with exalted is real good. I played him the Draft, he is a real solid card.
Sigiled Paladin Exalted, cheap, first strike
Guardians of Akrasa exalted, big defense
Rafiq of the Many DOUBLE STRIKE!!
Elspeth, Knight-Errant Protection plus evasion plus great
Thoughtweft Gambit BIG long term advantage if you can get this out with Stoic Angel.
Hindering Light Cheap counter spell that counters most everything that could target your Stoic Angel. only removal that I can think of that it won't affect is Oblivion Ring. (speaking of which...)
And Oblivion Ring

I have to say Stoic Angelis my favorite also. I want to build a U/W/G please can I have a turn to attack.. NO NO NO... with some Exalted and Vigilance creatures, but I want the base around merfolk. I was thing about Empyrial Archangel which would be fun but only a 1 or 2er in the deck If I do. So I'm going to play around with some ideas I got. Then I'll post what I've come up with.
