Hi all,

I have been playing for a little while now and have encountered a few questions I hope someone can help with please:

1.  Winnower Patrol http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&id=152669 - Kinship - Where this refers to creature type, am I correct in thinking that provided my top card is either an Elf "something" or "something" Warrior then I may reveal it and use the ability.  Or is this just referring to the Elf "something" bit?

2.  Packs disdain http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&id=153165 - similar question to above, but by creature type could I just pick Elf, or Goblin or Faerie etc?

3.  Please can someone explain how the reinforce ability works?  For example:  could I cast Earthbrawn http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&id=152710 and then use this reinforce ability afterwards?

Thanks in advance,

RS.

Here is hoping that I could help

Kinship refers to either creature type.

So For example if you play Winnower Patrol its kinship ability would be activated if you revealed an Ambassador Oak (a warrior) or if you revealed Drove of Elves (an elf) the ability would also activate. One of the creature types has to match, which means it would also be activated by changeling spells, as well as Elf Tribal or Warrior Tribal spells.

For Pack's Disdain you can select just elf, goblin etc or a subtype like warrior or wizard.

As far as I understand reinforce, the key word would be discard. Instead of playing the card, you discard it from your hand, pay its Reinforce cost and put the counters down. You can't play the card and use its reinforce ability.

Also FYI instead of linking to the gatherer, if you highlight the card title and click on the little Magic Card in the posting box it makes that nifty little link that you see in my post!

Hope I helped out!  thumb

Hi GodofRoads,

Thanks very much.  You have helped my understanding a lot.

Also, thanks for the tip about inserting cards (much simpler then the Gatherer  smiley )
