manaplasm

Is that cumulative within a turn?
Or does the +X/+X only equal the last spell played?

Whenever you play a spell, Manaplasm gets +X/+X until end of turn, where x is that spell's converted mana cost.

This doesn't give a replacement clause saying that it only works once each turn...and it doesn't say that the power and toughness are equal to the converted mana cost. Because of this...the +X/+X effect is cumulative with each spell you play.

Example

Manaplasm - 1/1
Giant Growth (1cc) - 1/1 + 1+1 + 3/3 = 5/5
Fatal Frenzy (3cc) - (5/5 + 3/3) x 2 = 16/8...with Trample.

Remember that playing a spell is not the same a resolving a spell. You have played a spell as soon as you announce it and all costs are paid. That is when Manaplasm gets the bonus...this is long before the spell actually resolves.

Thanks...very helpful. I hadn't thought of that.
