goyf was about $25 around the Lorwyn pre-release, shortly after he was $30, then so on until today. So does anyone think he'll hold value after he rotates out?

Yeah this sounds about right when I got them. I still wish I got them when they were at $2 tho haha.
I think he will hold his value when he rotates out. The price will have to drop to some extent because he will be available in 1 less format; however, he will still be a staple in older formats so he will still be a quite expensive card.

It will see a drop in price but not by much because it's still a hella efficient creature. The only thing that I think would force a considerable drop in value is a better 2 drop green card or possibly the printing of a main deck-able graveyard hoser that would trump 'goyf into obscurity (which I doubt will happen). If you don't plan on playing it any time soon, I'd wait out the rotation and see where it goes.

Tarmogoyf
will always cost a mortgage payment because it is the best of its kind. It is the most efficient creature ever printed. If
Psychatog
had been a rare...it would have had the same price tag.
Even if they print a card on par with
Tarmogoyf
...it will still hold a high value because redundancy is the name of the game. It is played in every format including people starting to put him in Vintage decks. This guy is not rotating out of use.

Around here, Gofy varies in value. Some people put him at $35-40 and others are just trying to unload him so you can pick it up for $25 or so.

I would advise you to pick them up for $25 and then ebay them. You could make a small fortune.
