I am going to be competing in a 2hg Constructed Standard tournament this weekend and I am wondering if there are any other really good Ideas for 2hg combos to take advantage of the format.

So far I am considering to have my partner play a Green Black Elf deck and myself playing a green blue sliverweave combo. (Mirrorweave + Virulent Sliver)

Any Deck Ideas or combo ideas are appreciated. I will be posting a decklist as soon as I get one past the original playtesting.

My problem with the deck is...without Mirrorweave the deck seems subpar. Sure if you get Mirrorweave the deck explodes. I would advise some kind of draw/filter/something. My suggestion would be Windbrisk Heights. It allows you to dig 4 cards which will help you find Mirrorweave...and it allows you to "Flash" in an effect at instant speed.

I like the shadow sliver as well, however I want to keep this down to two colors , because there is only 1 game in 2hg and I don't want to worry about getting the wrong type of mana producers.

Well at the last minute we decided to play elves + U/R control since it would be more enjoyable to play even if we didn't win. We did get 3rd place =) and got 2 additional promo Vexing shushers =)
